Executive Portrait Session for PMZ Realtor Daniel Del Real

PMZ Realtor Daniel Del Real contacted me with a need to have a headshot done for a magazine who needed a current photo of him. They needed his photo in less than before the weekend and they told him this Thursday evening. Daniel was one of the groomsmen at Carlos and Katy’s wedding in Sutter Creek at Avio Vineyards. I have never enjoyed taking headshot photos for people but I knew Daniel would let me have some fun with a few ideas. I was able to take his photos Friday morning, edit them and have the final photos to him by 3pm the same day.

MoPhotoWalk Was Amazing

MoPhotoWalk was a hit! I am truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing community. On August 20th, 2009, myself along with 62 other photographers bombarded downtown Modesto with one goals: To learn from each other while sharing our passion for photography. That goal was accomplished. Another passion I had which also drove my desire to host this event was the need I saw for some fresh user generated content focused on the city of Modesto. Only a few photographers had taken the initiative to capture some of Modesto’s highlights. Now we have captured many of downtown Modesto’s highlights through the eyes of over 60 people.

MoPhotoWalk gained some media attention. The Modesto Bee put together a short video which includes an interview they did with me. I have also included a link to the event’s Flickr Group.

DoubleTree Hotel Wedding- Modesto, CA

The DoubleTree Hotel is very conveniently located in Modesto and has a really nice ballroom located at the base of the hotel. The food is good and service is great. Drinks are a little pricey, a Pepsi cost me $3.50 but you get unlimited refills The hotel grounds are well kept and provide plenty of space to take photos with out traveling. The small stretch of 10th street provides a fun downtown feel that is also fun to take photos in. The DoubleTree also has nice rooms, my wife and I stayed in a suite on the night we were married. Below are a few photos of the tables they set up and decorated and a few landscape portraits. If you are looking for a venue that can provide a beautiful banquet as well as accommodate your visiting family and friends, the DoubleTree is the best choice in Modesto.

Del Rio Country Club Wedding – Modesto, CA

I love golf course weddings! The Del Rio Country Club is a beautiful location. When weather is good the wedding ceremony is performed under a huge tree that drapes over the entire wedding keeping most in the shade. The reception is usually an indoor formal dinner. The food Del Rio prepares is nothing short of amazing. The staff is friendly and the wedding coordinator is amazing. The photos below were shot at a wedding that was on the same day as a golf tour that was just finishing up at Del Rio. The coordinator did such a great job being that there was so much going on, come to find out, she had organized the tour also.

Jason & Misty’s Beautiful Almond Blossom Wedding

The weather forecast was not looking good up until Thursday, only 2 days before their wedding. The weather man said Saturday would look good but get ready for rain for the next 5 days. Saturday was a beautiful day with only mild overcast skies. The wedding took place at the Bride’s parents new home located in the middle of an almond orchard which as you can see was in full bloom.
