Getting Ready to Shoot a Wedding

So what really goes into getting ready for a wedding. Mostly just packing my tools and making sure everything is clean and charged up. I always bring extra batteries, cables, strobes, and camera bodies. You have to make sure you cover all of your bases in case something breaks down or worse, gets stolen. The images below give you an idea of what I carry with me and what my set up is.

Jerads Camera Bag

Everything in this camera bag is for the most part on my body somewhere at all times during the wedding ceremony. During the reception I usually only carry one camera body and 2 lenses on me.

Jerads Light Stands

My lighting stands consist of 2 580EX Canon Strobes on Impact Stands connected to Quantum Turbo 2×2 packs fired by Pocket Wizards.

I used to bring Quantum T5D strobes, reflectors, umbrellas and several other treats with me but I never use them so they stay back at my office. I only pull them out when I do corporate headshots or family photography.
