Mariah Graduates in 2010
Mariah is graduating this year and here are her Senior Portraits. Mariah has this chill style about her, very relaxed. I appreciated the fact that she does not want to be defined by any typical catch phrase or term that most girls her age would be more then happy to categorize themselves as. Keep on being unique Mariah, you have no idea how many years ahead of the curve you are.

November 21, 2009 at 12:35 pmI really like the sepia ones, but some of them look a little “fake” to me. Like the ones where she is on a rock, they kind of look like she was cut and pasted into it. And a couple of photos look crooked, which is surprising because I usually really like your photos.

November 21, 2009 at 11:02 pmJane, thanks for your comment. Senior portraits are hard and sometimes a bit awkward. Especially when you have the student’s expectations of their photo session combined with the parents expectations. I remember when I got my senior portraits done. The photographer was much older than I was, I did not relate what so ever to the photographer. Sometimes that happens. Many high school seniors have never had a one on one photo session with a photographer before. We can only do our best as photographers to make our subjects feel comfortable. I think the photos of Mariah turned out great considering her and I had just met.
Yes some of the photos are crooked, but that is done on purpose. I don’t crop everything perfect because so many of the frames are not symmetrical anymore.

I know Mariah from Hughson High she went to school with my daughter. In my personal opinion I think you did an awesome job! She came out absolutely beautiful I mean she didn’t really need a lot of help because she is all ready a great looking girl but the way that she is posing and the expressons on her face came out great!
If I had known about you sooner perhaps my daughter could have also benefited from your beautiful and well posed photography! Well, ay least I know about you now and I can refer others to you or even use your services personally in the future!
